SAP Hours Calculator

How to use this calculator:

Using your academic transcript (available on Bearcat Web), enter the number of Attempted Hours* and the number of Earned Hours for each semester you have attended college. "Year 1" should correspond to the first year you attended college, "Year 2" should correspond to the second year you attended, etc. If you did not attend a specific semester or summer term, skip over that term and proceed. Transfer students should enter coursework taken at other institutions regardless of whether or not the coursework transferred to Lander.  For example, if you attempted 30 hours at institution A, earned 30 at institution A, but Lander only accepted 15 credits in transfer, you would still list 30 as attempted and 30 as earned.

*Attempted Hours include courses for which you receive a passing grade (A, B, C, or D), courses from which you withdrew (W),  courses which you failed (F), courses which you repeated (RB, RC, RD, RF, or RS), and courses which you failed for Non-Attendance (FA).  Also include hours for Pass/Fail courses (P or F) as Attempted Hours. However, F's, FA's, and W's do not count as Earned Hours.

You can determine how many hours you need to earn to comply with the Satisfactory Academic Progress policy by entering estimated information in future terms.  For example, you could plug in 12 Attempted Hours and 12 Earned Hours for your next semester of enrollment to see how that will change your percentage ratio. Beneath the calculator, the policy requirements are listed for your convenience.
