Myra Greene Shaffer
A native of Greer, SC , Myra is a graduate of Lander University, The Burt Reynolds Institute for Theatre Training and has a MA in Theatre History from The University of South Carolina. She has performed in theatre productions throughout the southeast as well as being featured in many regional television commercials and industrial films. She is the former Executive/Artistic director of The Greenwood Community Theatre and is a lecturer for the Lander Theatre Department . Myra’s vast theatre background is an asset to the GLPA program. Jackie Counts
A native of upstate New York, Jackie received her BA in Music Education and Voice Performance from Columbia College in Columbia, South Carolina. Jackie retired after 30 years of teaching Music Education in South Carolina public schools. She currently serves as Assistant Director of Greenwood-Lander Performing Arts where she has taken over the majority of planning and preparation for the outreach program. During her work with GLPA, Jackie is proud of the technology skills she has gained and has enjoyed learning about the vast world of the performing arts. She and her husband, RJ, reside in Abbeville, SC and are the parents of three children.
