Welcome to the Lander University Student Nurses’ Association!

LUSNA is a branch of The Student Nurses' Association of South Carolina (SNA-SC).   SNA-SC is a pre-professional organization for pre-nursing and nursing students enrolled in South Carolina accredited associate and baccalaureate degree nursing programs. SNA-SC is a constituent member of the National Student Nurses' Association (NSNA).

SNA-SC offers leadership experience, educational opportunities, career networking, and information about the ever changing profession of nursing.   We are also involved in various philanthropies throughout the year.
This is a great way to become involved in the nursing department and to get to know other nursing students!

If you’re interested in joining, feel free to contact the board members or advisors for more information.   You can attend meetings before joining!

Convention
Every year there is a State Convention in the fall where nursing schools from SC converge. This is a great opportunity for students, as the convention offers:
•NCLEX review
•Expo with recruiters (job/internship opportunities)
•Free stuff – pens, highlighters, first aid kits, free NCLEX review materials
•Networking opportunities
•Guest lecturers in various nursing fields

There are also many activities and competitions that go on at convention, along with a different theme each year. Some of the competitions include pop tops, penny wars, skits, scrapbook, etc. There is also a silent auction, door prizes, t-shirts, and theme nights. The last night of convention there is a formal dinner. Convention is also where you would campaign for positions on the state SNA board.
