Physical Education & Exercise Studies

The Joe V. Chandler Center, a $10 million facility which opened in 1993, serves as the hub for baccalaureate degree programs in physical education, exercise science, and athletic training. These programs prepare students for work in exercise-related fields such as physical education teaching and coaching, health fitness/ wellness, cardiac rehabilitation, and sports medicine/athletic training. In addition, many students who major in exercise science pursue graduate degrees in exercise physiology, physical therapy,  biomechanics, and other exercise-related fields of study.
