The Pool is closed when thunderstorms are in the area.

 

The pool is open to students, faculty and staff and their guests.   You must show a valid Lander ID to use the pool. The Pool area has vending and snack machines, rest-rooms and a changing area.

 

 

Policies and Procedures

 

·          Pool access - Any current Lander student, faculty or staff will have access to the pool. 

 

·          Guest Policy-   Lander students, faculty and staff are allowed 2 guests per visit and/or immediate family.    Faculty and Staff and their immediate family who plan on utilizing the pool on a regular basis should send their names to Drew Gregory at dgregory@lander.edu  to receive a permanent facility pass. 

 

To inquire about bringing a larger party, one must contact the department of facility scheduling at 864-388-8335.

 

·          Children-   Children under the age of 13 must be accompanied by an adult.  Parents of children over 13 that are not present are still responsible for their children's behavior at the pool.  Any child violating pool regulations is subject to loss of pool use. 

 

·          Inclement weather and water quality issues-   The pool is subject to closing at any time due to inclement weather and/or an unsafe chemical ratio.  To get information on pool closings, call the outdoor pool hotline.

 

·          Outside Groups -   Any outside group that wishes to use the outdoor pool needs to contact the department of facility scheduling at 864-388-8335

 

·          Additional Rules while at the pool -

 

1. No running or rough play allowed

2. No alcohol or drugs

3. No spitting or blowing nose in pool

4. No person/s with illness is allowed in the pool 

5. No person with skin, eye or ear infection is allowed in the pool

6. No person with open wounds is allowed in the pool

7. No animals are allowed in the fenced in pool area

8. No glass items (cups, plates) are allowed in the pool area

9. Proper swimming attire is required

10. Lander's certified pool operator is Kent Ouzts

ANNOUNCEMENT:    The Outdoor Pool will be CLOSED on Saturday, July 4th.    The Pool will be open for normal hours on Friday, July 3 ^rd (12noon-6:00pm) and Sunday, July 5 ^th (2:00pm-5:00pm).
