Helping Your College Student

For families, just preparing for college can be stressful. When it involves a child with a physical or mental illness, there are additional anxieties.

Sometimes, despite your best efforts, your child has difficulty in college—either academically or in their personal life.

If your child is in trouble, talk with your son or daughter about the college services which are available for them, then encourage your child to go.

The Wellness Center includes Counseling Services, Health Services and Disability Services for students at Lander University.   Click here to learn more about our services.

If there is an emergency on campus, s tudents who need emergency treatment will be transported to the  Emergency Care Center at Self Regional Healthcare  which is open 24-hours.    The student is responsible for all associated fees.
