Student Events (year-round) During the semester, students are often found enjoying mini-events such as Massage Day, Poster Sales, Talent Search, Singers, Comedians, Magicians, Movie Nights, Relay for Life, Karaoke, Game Nights, Canned Food Drives, Blood Drives, Designer Jean Expos, Crazy T-Shirts, Ghost Hunters, Nascar Simulators, Cook-Outs, Pop Noggins, Pool Parties, Hypnotists, and the list goes on!

Homecoming (February) Lander's Homecoming is one of the main events on campus. Some of the popular events include Banner Competition, Soapbox Derby, Talent Night and Field Day followed by a Spirit Competition and Bonfire!
Family and friends can enjoy tailgating before the big game!
This year’s theme, “Lander in Hi-Def” challenged students to come up with creative ways to turn up the volume on competitions centered around the new digital age.

Freshmen EXPO (June & July) Each summer, freshmen and other incoming students are given the opportunity to experience life on campus BEFORE the fall semester begins. This 3-day session is called “EXPO”.
Packed with information sessions and activities designed to get students acquainted with campus! Students stay on-campus, eat in the dining hall and build friendships during EXPO.

CommUniversity (September) Each fall, students arrive on campus to a whirlwind of class schedules and other activities.
Local businesses are invited to participate in the welcome back festival known as “CommUniversity”. Students mingle with these vendors who offer coupons and samples of their wares.

Fall for Lander (October) Traditionally held in late October, this autumn event is open to all students and their families.
This is a fantastic time for parents, grandparents and the entire family to visit their college student while enjoying some great food and music!
The morning festival includes games and entertainment such as the Lander Jazz Quartet, MOMS choir, Acoustic Guitar Performers, Hot Dogs, Cotton Candy, Popcorn, Drinks, Bobbing for Apples, Inflatable Bounce Houses, Photo Trinkets, Classic Car Show, Face-Painting, and much, much more!
